New York Times 1125 Actors Comedians Sexual Misconduct and Their Art

The comedian Louis C.K. admitted on Fri that he had engaged in sexual misconduct with several women. His acknowledgment came as a motion picture distributor canceled the release of his forthcoming comedy and equally media companies cutting ties with him in response to a New York Times report in which the women detailed his beliefs toward them.

In a statement on Friday, Louis C.K. said, "I want to address the stories told to The New York Times by five women named Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia who felt able to name themselves and i who did non."

He continued, "These stories are true."

In the Times written report, the comedians Dana Min Goodman, Julia Wolov and Rebecca Corry, the writer Abby Schachner, and a fifth woman who spoke on condition of anonymity described upsetting interactions with Louis C.K. in which he undressed and masturbated in front of them, asked if he could masturbate in forepart of them, or could be heard masturbating during a telephone call.

His overall production deal with FX was canceled, and he lost his role as executive producer – equally well as the compensation that came with that title – on the FX comedy shows "Ameliorate Things" and "Baskets," the Amazon serial "One Mississippi," and a TBS animated series, "The Cops."
